Details

We need an import module. Importing from tab-separated CSV files would be ok.

First line could be header information with predefined field names.
There should be an option to overwrite (update) current fields.
Empty identification fields would mean "to add" and non-empty "to update".
Option to use ID or model as indexes.

We could reuse code from the sync module to confirm the operation.

Pending to review detailed requirements.

We should design a generic import module to allow importing from CSV files, database files, ODBC and custom TCP connections.

Pending to redesign the sync module to build a generic import/export module.

Changing Severity to "Major" because as of now, it is the Most Requested Feature.

Changing Priority to "High", for the same reason.
