Something that missed me more than once is the ability move a directory and its subcontent to another location.
Even one page to move requires many fields to be transfered and this makes the process very painful.

Another feature that would be interresting in my sense is the ability to perform more advanced searches for example: by poster, date, limit on title or title/content but first of all the ability to use boolean operator
Also having the directories where the documents are located in the results could help locate information

Kind regards,
Gregory Belva

Yes. I was planning to add directory management (moving and renaming) until 0.9.0. Maybe this feature is more important than what I have thought. Is this feature a high priority for you? Maybe I can include it in the next release (0.7.0).

I've planned some improvements for the search function as follow:

1) Preindexing content (to improve performance, filter and extract keywords). Planned for 0.8.0.
2) Preindexing content of uploaded files (for example PDFs, text files, etc). But this require some custom filtering for each file type. Initial support planned for 0.8.0.
3) Boolean operators and field-restricted searchs (search only some fields). Planned for 1.0.0.
4) Weighted ranking (a word in the title is heavier than a word in the body of the document, etc). Planned for 1.0.0.
5) Spatial restriction (the search results are weighted according to its position in the directory structure). Planned for 1.0.0.

From this list, what would be more important for you, Gregory?

The initial design of this search facility is getting more complex than expected. I will add it, for sure, but I want to know what is more important to set my priorities.

Would the bread crumbs of the results work for you? The bread crumbs are the "xxxx > yyyy > zzzz" paths. For example:

Found documents:

This is easy, I can add it for the next beta release (0.6.0 beta 8).

What do you think, Gregory?

Moving directories would be a great help. It has very high priority for me. To see it in 0.7.0 would be more than great.

Marvin:

Hi. Directory management (copy, move), changed for CMS module version 0.6.2 (hopefully by Janaury).
