Hi,

I am getting connected to database but while I try to click on any product categories. ot gives the following error:

An error occured while processing dataase query
Unknown column - 'products.products_id' in 'on clause'

As a result, I am unable to view any products or for that matter, any features of this seems to be fabulous software.

This error on clause issue is related to some OSCommerce incompatibility issues with MySQL5. To fix the same error (error products.products_id on clause) which you will get in OSC using the search box, please see:

I'm trying to find out how this OSCPMWin talks to Mysql and to change similar queries, but I hope more experienced people are doing the same...

I have made some modifications and I think the OSCPMWin application is ready for MySQL 5. May you please test it? Please download it from:

http://www.mariovaldez.net/software/oscpmwin/files/oscpmwin_0.1.2.450.zip

or from:

http://www.mariovaldez.net/software/oscpmwin/files/oscpmwin_0.1.2.450_setup.exe

Please let me know if it works Ok.

Mario,

first I installed Product ManagerV 0.1.2.436, This gave an windows box error, and did not start.
Then I installed Product Manager 0.1.0.434. This version started but this
version gave a (Unknown column - 'products.products_id' in 'on clause') error.

I installed V. 0.1.2.450 recommend as Posted: Mon Jan 23, 2006 12:02 pm (Post subject: MySQL 5 compatibility.)
This version looks great and worked fine (local)

Then I tried to test the ...636 version for database acces without a direct
connection. But this didn't work for me because of my provider settings.

Then I installed V. 0.1.2.450 again, but this gave again an windows error
on startup. Now i can only install V 0.1.0.434, because all other versions
are giving startup errors.
Are there registry settings that are not removed while running uninstall?
I clean the registry manual after each try, but this doesn't help.

Which version can i install best?

Because I could not install 0.1.2.450 on my computer anymore, without
getting a violation error on startup.

I installed 0.1.2.450 on a other "clean" computer.
Here the program started nicely, without error (violation) box
then I copied this oscpwin directory to my usual computer, and it worked
there also nicely again.
