Post subject:  Beta : Build 636 feedback : ready for production?

I have been testing this build and so far everything looks to be working great! I cannot find a single problem with this build. I am able to connect fine, all my products are retrieved, I can add products or delete categories etc. This is good because my host does not allow client side DB connections. I know this build is marked as not being ready for production but I am getting a store together and this program is essential for us to be able to use. How comfortable is the author that this could be used on a production store?

Post subject:  availibility date bug?

Hi Mario,
I've just downloaded this beta as well.

The only thing i have seen so far is that the availibility date gets screwed up.
If a product is available from october 20th 2006, OSCPMWin displays: 2020-10-06 instead of 20-10-06 or 2006-10-20.

Is it a bug, or my own stupidity? I can't find a place in OSCPMWin or OSC where i might be able to change the date settings

I really appreciate your work and this great peace of software. I'm glad that I can use the http method, because my sql db is not accessible otherwise.

If you like, i would be glad to further test this on my shop and report back to you. If you want specific things tested, or need to know more about my osc/server/sql version, just let me know

It would be great to get this build out of beta status

Hi. Thanks for taking the time to test this beta version. May you please contact me by email? (mario@mariovaldez.org) I would like to know more about this problem.

A screenshot, a SQL log and some details about your osCommerce setup and desktop computer would be very useful (language of OSC, language of Windows, version of Windows, etc.).

Regards,

Mario A. Valdez-Ramirez.

Post subject:  no problems

The problems I had with the avalability date were not related to oscpmwin. Somehow another contribution had messed up the 'product added' date, that was the cause of all trouble.

So, no problem with this beta build found.
