Hi. I have not tested their application, but by browsing their feature list I can tell you what they provide that we don't:

Order management
* CSV import
* Attributes management
* Custom reports
* ZenCart support (we broke this in OSCPMWin in the latest version)
Local database support
Direct MySQL connection (we dropped this in OSCPMWin)
Database restore (we only provide backup)
* Store configuration management
$89 USD price
No translations
No source-code

Those marked with * are features planned for OSCPMWin.

So, I'm not sure if OSCPMWin provide something that they don't (besides the zero-price tag, the source-code and the license) because I didn't make a feature benchmark.

Maybe the image management features (automatic optimization, upload without FTP, multiple image support, etc) we provide. Maybe the modification of several products at once that we provide (for example, you can select several products and then change the price by 10, or 10% or any number or percentage); they provide the same feature with a plugin named Mass Changer for $50 USD. Maybe the currency management in OSCPMWin, with automatic exchange-rate updating. Maybe the SSL support for all operations (not only the database link).

But hey, they have a demo download, you can try it, and then try OSCPMWin. Maybe those $89 USD would be well spent money. Or you may want to support the development of the OSCPMWin application with a donation (through SourceForge), or sending bug reports and ideas.

Anyway, the main feature of the OSCPMWin application is the license that it says that you can do whatever you want with it: use it, modify it and pass it to your friends, family, coworkers, clients, etc. And that is something they will probably never provide.

Regards,

Mario A. Valdez-Ramirez.

-No costo de Licencia
-Codigo Fuente (para los desarrolladores)

eso es en escencia la diferencia....

Saludos
